In some jurisdictions, Eventgroove collects and remits tax on platform fees, and in others, Eventgroove collects and remits tax on ticket sales. You’re responsible for assessing your tax obligations in areas where you’re hosting an event. Tax on Eventgroove Ticketing Fees
Eventgroove is responsible to collect and remit sales tax on Ticketing Fees, such as the Eventgroove Service Fee and/or Payment Processing Fees.
The tax is added on top of the total amount charged to the attendee (‘buyer total’) and paid by the attendee.
The sales tax on service fees will be calculated and passed on to the buyer in checkout.

Eventgroove is required to calculate, collect, and remit sales tax on the buyer total, which is the total amount charged to the attendee.
Where Eventgroove does not collect and remit sales tax
If your city or state isn’t listed above, you can add tax to your tickets. You’re responsible for understanding and fulfilling all of your tax obligations. If you’re not sure whether you need to charge tax on your sales, we encourage you to consult a tax professional to better understand your tax obligations. Eventgroove can’t give you tax advice.
